I love waffles. And unfortunately due to kitchen space in my house, a waffle maker is not conducive to store…anywhere. So I don’t hesitate to buy frozen waffles as long as the ingredient list doesn’t take up the entire package. I like Trader Joe’s Gluten-Free option in their freezer section. Just a couple of minutes in the toaster oven, and I’ve got crunchy yet tender waffles. And unlike a pancake, it contains crevices that allow for maximum flavor pockets…which I feel should be taken advantage of. Maple syrup is always a classic match for waffles at breakfast time, but why not use waffles instead of bread when making sandwiches for lunch?! Grilled ham and cheese please? Or how about chicken with gravy on waffles for dinner? It totally makes sense to me. Or try adding some sweet options on topĀ and creating a quick and easy dessert. Have you tried lemon curd? How about homemade blueberry preserves? Chocolate mousse? Toasted, shredded coconut? Fresh strawberries? Or how about vanilla ice cream with my “Salted Caramel Sauce“? What?! Get creative. I’ll bet you’ll surprise the heck out of yourself and discover a new way to eat your waffles.
How do you waffle?
